In this article we will be looking at how to record student names for the commencement video. This will be a basic walk thru showing what you will see as an admin. We recommend using a Chrome Browser for this process.

Step 1: Open Portal

Make sure you open it in a Chrome browser if possible for ease of connecting your microphone. Your dashboard will look something like this:

Step 2: Click Record Names

In the side tool bar you should see Record Names as an Option. If you do not, please reach out to your main Virtual Graduation School Admin for assistance.

Step 3: Allow Your Browser Access to Your Microphone

A pop up window should appear if you are using Chrome. Click allow to give the browser access to your microphone.

Step 4: Click on a Student in "Students Ready for Recording"

You should see two areas with lists of students, the top area is the list of students who need to have their names recorded. Click the black record button at the right of their name.

Step 5: Review Name

Make sure to review the name and how they would like it pronounced. You will be able to listen to the student's recording, as well as see the phonetic spelling. Make sure to unmute the student recording by clicking the icon at the end of the progress bar (shown below by a red circle) Once you have reviewed, you are ready to record!

Step 6: Click "Start Recording"

Click the green Record Name Button. It will automatically begin to record. You will have 5 seconds to say the name. Wait for the recording to process before reviewing it.

Step 7: Review Recording

Once the recording is done, click the speaker icon at the end of the progress bar to hear the recording.

Step 8: Submit Recording

When you are happy with the recording, hit the grey Submit button at the bottom. The page will close and the student name will move to the bottom list, which is the Completed Recordings list. You can review these at any time.
